Government support for investments in a more robust electricity system
The Swedish government and the Energy Agency have opened a new call within the Kraftlyftet initiative. Companies can apply for government support for investments in energy production and storage. The purpose is to strengthen the security of supply in the electricity system, support connection of new electricity use, and enable projects that would otherwise not be carried out on a commercial basis.
The call opened February 26, 2026 and closes May 7, 2026. This means a limited application window where companies must be prepared with project plans, cost-benefit analysis, and other documents on time.
